SHWAY 60

Vleminckveld 60, 2000 Antwerpen

Looking over the bustling Mechelse Plein at district Quartier Latin or Theaterbuurt, this corner townhouse is very loved by passengers to take a picture of the architecture. Word on the street is that people call this building 'The Flatiron of Antwerp', which we obviously take as a compliment! Inside it holds one maisonette for 2 people and two duplex apartments with one bedroom for 4 people which are connected by a steep spiral staircase. Perfect for city trippers, families with teenage children or older, business travellers and expats and longer stays. Interested in renting the total house with a group? Check The Family House here!

THE RED WITH PEARLS

It's obvious that this lady knows fashion. Wearing designer clothes and her favorite pearls, she keeps it elegant, sophisticated and chic through the entire ground floor maisonette. She extends the dining table to a three meter long table so she can wine and dine her guests and listen to jazz all night long. She gets inspired by fashion, interior and cooking, which is shown through her amazing book collection. The Belgian bluestone floor in her compact bathroom with rain shower moves through the kitchen and seating area, where the wooden stairs and floor to the sleeping area gives off warmth and cosines.

THE BLACK PANTS

Her pair of Black Pants is classic, refined and timeless. Her long legs are almost as high as the ceilings. She uses her steel black staircase as a catwalk, which connects the living area and kitchen with the bedroom and bathroom. From the charming balcony she smells the vibrant area of the city and waits until her three friends from Paris arrive. They can easily sleep on the sofa bed in the living room, which she bought especially for visitors.

THE SUIT

shway-sleepsfour.png

You can call her edgy, dandyish, sassy and even a little bit posh, but this lady stands her ground in her apartment on the third and fourth floor. You will understand what that means after you climb the steep spiral staircase and enters the bedroom with dead salmon painted wails and paprika colored curtains. The bathroom with rain shower is right in front of her and you need to pass her to the living area on the fourth floor. Her suit is 'ton-sur-ton' with her dining chairs and the pillows on the sofa bed where two friends can sleep, are made from a vintage designer dress.
