YOUR GUIDE

She actually doesn't need an introduction as she is one of the most famous fashion stylists of Belgium: Farah El Bastani! Wrapped in 1.58m, you can recognize her and her work by it's quirky, classy, colorful, bold, arty, original and amazingly beautiful style! She has been everywhere that breathes fashion and built her career from the Antwerp City ground up to where she is standing today. So if somebody knows every fashion corner of our city, it's definitely her!

Let's start the Fashion walk with one of my all time favorite vintage stores in Antwerp: Rosier41 (1). This beautiful store is known for their unique selection of vintage haute couture, here you can find designs from the Antwerp Six but also from international fashion houses. Continue to Cafématic (2) for brunch, make your reservations before as this is not only my favorite breakfast/lunch joint!

Turn right to Oudaan and visit the amazing flagship store of Essentiel Antwerp (3) at the Huidevetterstraat. Cross the street to De Korte Gasthuisstraat and turn left to Everdijstraat where a typical Antwerp concept store is hidden: Monar & Clothes (4).

Next stop is not just a fashion store, it's an attitude. Façon Jacmin (5) is an eco-conscious label founded by twin sisters that graduated La Cambre and worked for Martin Margiela. They design sustainable denim pieces mixed with other fabrics and make it feminine with playful silhouettes. Another favorite Antwerp fashion brand is Komono (6), who collaborates with the Antwerp Fashion Academy for their forward-thinking aesthetics of their (sun)glasses and watches.

After visiting a few stores already, it's time to break the day with a visit to the Mode Museum (7), where you can learn about Belgium's and specifically Antwerp's fashion history, famous designers and their designs and the Antwerp Fashion Academy. Don't forget to visit the MOMU's Bookstore after! Stop by at Mint (8) for a drink before you continue to the Modepaleis of Dries van Noten (9).

Next stops: LA Collection (10), Christian Wijnants (11), Step By Step (12) and I think my favorite brand in town: Mass Lee Jewelry (13). Mass Lee is founded by two friends that studied together at the Royal Academy of Fine Arts in Antwerp where their passion for jewelry sparked. Scandinavian mixed with Korean style creates unique art pieces to wear!

Continue to the Volksstraat via the Kloosterstraat and visit two amazing shops next to each other: Atelier D'Anvers (14) and Enes (15). The perfect stores to buy outfits for special occasions.

Top this fashion walk off with a visit to Antwerp Six's Ann Demeulemeester (16) across the street of the Royal Museum of Fine Arts and get back to your SHWAY location to get dressed for the night.

Make a reservation at Lewis (17), a cool progressive restaurant next to the Royal Museum and get surprised by their chef with his pure and raw food!
